Parade of the Hills
Held annually in August on Nelsonville's historic Public Square - The Parade of The Hills has become one of the states premiere family festivals. St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church
Located on the corner of Chestnut & Harper Streets Nelsonville, Ohio.
St. Mary of the Hills Church and parish family was established in December of 1990, when the parishes of St. Andrew, Nelsonville (founded 1888) and St. Patrick, Buchtel (founded 1871) were consolidated.

St. Mary of the Hills Church was renovated between July 2000 and April 2001. The first Mass in the newly renovated Church was celebrated on Easter Sunday, April 15, 2001. On Sept. 9, 2001 Bishop Gilbert I Sheldon (now retired) celebrated the Mass for our Rededication Ceremony.

Our thanks and gratitude goes out to our former pastor of 15 1/2 years, Fr. John Mucha for the wonderful and prayerful surroundings he has given to us. Please feel free to come and worship with our Parish family.
